Serious cleaning and spending and fish-ness going on.
On Sunday morning & evening I probably spent five or six hours cleaning and organizing. I threw out a lot of damaged boxes from the garage, consolidated some boxes & broke down empty ones and threw a lot of stuff away. It’s still a quite a bit of stuff, but at least it looks better now.
I did cleaning of the garage at 130am till about 230am, when I got h0me from playing poker with friends in san jose. I came in fourth for the third time in a row, out of nine players. Since it’s only the third time playing, I’m pretty proud of my ranking. Sunday afternoon found me cleaning the house, with a huge focus on my bedroom. Vacuuming, washing & actually putting away clothes, and dusting and organizing my bookshelf and dresser. Holy dust batman! I’ve slaughtered a whole barrage of dust bunnies.
Monday morning was all about the fish tank. Finally sucking up the bottom debris, taking out all the rocks and finally catching ALL of the ice blue zebra cichlids for donation to a san jose fish store. They were just breeding too fast, and honestly they were pretty mean and I was tired of them. I put all the rocks back in a new formation and added water and chemicals. It looks pretty spiffy if I do say so myself.
Ran an errand for mom, bought some new sneakers (my current pair has a huge hole and had started giving me a blister) and a $10 backpack (since my old one had the strap almost completely ripped off). We got some coffee and snackage and were on our merry way. Brian’s fish world was first on the list, since the early morning phone call informed me that they would take the fish as a donation. Dropped them off and did a quick walk of the store but found nothing of interest. So we hit the “pretty” mall as Carocaro calls it. I got sanny waxed and we wandered around the mall for a bit. I bought more face cleaning products from my new favorite bath store, The Body Shop (not to be confused with Bath and Body Works). We then decided we were pretty exhausted and stopped by the breakfast place for some food and R&R. From the breakfast place we hit Whole Food-a-palooza. Woo! Bought two bottles of different muscatt wine and some guava gelato. We both ended up picking up a couple of LARGE bags of cat food from the nearby An-Jan. Then it was off to Barnes and Noble for Sanny to stock up on notebooks. While she immersed herself in notebooks I stopped by Nordstrom Rack for some deals on conditioner and picked up two new pillows (Calvin Klein for $10 a pop!!). I threw out my five old pillows since I’ve been recently immersed in “How Clean is Your House” which shows nothing but bugs and gross stuff that can live in your everyday items (and pillows should be replaced regularly). Sanny even picked up some face cleaning stuffs! Go Sanny! From there we hit Dolphin where I ended up buying three white calvus babies and 12 ghost shrimp (for fish food)!! and a new water circulator. Sweeeeeeet! Then two very tired women and three freaked out fish and twelve soon to be fish food shrimp went home. : ) We ate, we watched Enchanted and made merry. It was a very full day.
